The implementation of the project marks another step forward in the development of China's tower-type photothermal energy storage system with independent intellectual property rights, and has demonstration and reference significance for the large-scale promotion of solar thermal power generation in Qinghai and its surrounding areas in the future.
This breakthrough in science and technology came from the Qinghai Provincial Science and Technology Department's organization and implementation of Qinghai's major science and technology projects, "Development of Medium-and High-Temperature Heat Storage Technologies and Equipment for Solar Thermal Power Generation," and "Development of Key Technologies for Megawatt-Level Solar Thermal Power Generation Absorbers." At present, the scientific research projects have passed the acceptance check, and the scientific research achievements have reached the leading level in China.
It is understood that after nearly four years of research and development, by collaborating with scientific research teams outside the province, the technology and equipment of medium and high temperature thermal storage for solar thermal power generation have been developed, and on the basis of the 10-megawatt tower photothermal power station in Delingha, The tower-type photothermal molten salt heat storage system has been successfully developed, with an effective heat storage time of more than two hours and a temperature drop of less than 10 ℃ in the molten salt tank within 24 hours. The tower-type photothermal molten salt heat storage system has realized the normal operation of a single set of medium-and high-temperature molten salt heat storage system with a total capacity of 5 MW/h, and has become the first solar thermal power station with molten salt heat storage in China.
